In Cherokee we go to south side BBQ. Very good and cheaper than coopers.

          Agree

Also check out the feed store in Cherokee. He has his restaurant open now. Makes a mean burger and he has steak night and fish fry night.

The square in Llano is kind of neat. Every now and again they throw a big wing ding on the square in San Saba on certain weekends and there is usually a live band. That is big fun. Fredericksburg is the best for taking the little woman out. Mine would load up and go there in a heartbeat.
You mean La Familia or is this another good mescan place in Brady?

Boondocks is great in Brady. They have a good menu with everything on it.

Heard Fat Boyz BBQ is doing real well since taking over The Spread.

You obviously have never had RJ's BBQ in San Angelo...

It is called El Flamenco (the Flamingo) or something like that. Their fish is killer good and boiled shrimp is also all you can eat. Hush puppies are very good also. Normally it's a Mexican food place but Friday nights are fish night. Well worth it.

I practically lived in Cherokee for years The man who owns the feed store and restaurant is practically my step dad. Good people and good food. The BBQ joint is great as well. Coopers is only good to city slickers that can't spell BBQ
