    RV title transfer ?

I will be transferring an RV title into my name here fairly quickly and need to know:

Do I have to have this trailer weighed and get a receipt before I take it to get inspected and then transfer the title or will the inspections station go by the GVWR on the title? I have been told both ways. Inspection station at a car dealership said they would go by the GVWR on the title, others have said it has to be weighed, receipt taken and given to the inspection station.

    What say you GS?

They will go by the GVWR on the title. At least that's what they did with 2 RVs that I bought.

The only time I had to get one weighed was an out of state title (Oklahoma)

We use the title information and insurance card.

I had to take my mom's RV to truck stop to get it weighted and then took receipt to the inspection station and then took paperwork to county office to get title transferred. They would not do it without those steps. (And insurance).

Best to call county office and ask them what they require.

Just talked to the tax office and they need a bill of sale, vehicle inspection and my ID to transfer the title into my name for the RV. Thankfully no weight receipt.
