Placing a box blind on a steep(ish) hillside

Okay, how wood you go about doing this? We have a spot set up, but due to brush, the only logical place to put the blind is on a hillside, at least halfway up. A guy on the lease built a nice stand and planned to carry it up there on his bobcat tractor, but decided against it due to rollover risks. I thought about building another stand, but in pieces, like floor, walls, roof etc and carrying them up there by strapping them to the front of the jeep, then assembling on site. Any other ideas?

your idea sounds like a pretty good plan.

Basically like you said, build it so that you can carry it wall by wall to the spot and then just screw it all together there.

Something you might want to consider is digging post holes and setting posts in concrete for a base. It'll help for any rain wash off or wind off the hill to secure it.

Build it, disassemble into modules (walls, floor, roof), haul to site and assemble.

As said before, make it to be taken apart and reassembled onsite. Don't forget to post pictures.

Hire this guy to move the blind for you.

I just built mine in place. One day to get the posts sunk and cemented and another day to finish after that setup. Takes a lot of digging, toting water, material and cement up and down the hill. My suggestion bring tallboys, less trips to rehydrate.
