    Back Surgeons in DFW

Anybody got any recommendations concerning back surgeons? Last year I was told I had two bulging discs in my lower back. My chiropractor gave me a couple of names but they do not accept my insurance which is stupid in my opinion. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield. I need to get in with someone so I can have an MRI done so we can get this figured out. I threw out my back again yesterday afternoon during baseball practice.

Have you tried contacting TMI in Arlington? My father in law just met with a back specialist there. I believe he has Blue Cross Blue Shield.

      Dr Michael Hisey in Denton.

He saved my rear end in 2012 after having a spinal infection.

The way BCBS worked for me was I had to get a referral from my primary doctor first. No surgeon would see me without it. Frustrating because it's a office visit and time that could be avoided.

I just posted this on another thread.

Schedule an appointment with Dr. Brezina with Texas Health in Fort Worth. They have worked on many college and professional athletes. I have nothing but good things to say about this doctor. My wife went through several bad experiences and many doctors until luckily we got in front of Dr Brezina. He will fix it. We were extremely lucky to finally get care from someone who knew what they were doing. PM me anytime for more details.

Have you tried or considered spinal decompression therapy?

Everybody I know that had back surgery say they ended up about the same or worse.....

No. The only thing I have been doing is going to the chiropractor. I end up down in my back about every 4-5 months. About 4-5 trips to the chiropractor and I am better. I can barely walk this morning and my hips are out. Hoping my chiropractic calls me at 9am. I called yesterday and left a message knowing no one was there.

The two bulging discs end up putting pressure on a nerve and it jacks my hips up. It is not comfortable to sit or walk.

Have a few buddies who have had multiple back surgeries. Have you had an MRI? If not, how do you know you have a bulging disk? I was at wits end, same as you I was throwing my back out 2-3 times per year and was considering talking with a surgeon. My wife's co-worker recommended airrosti, 3 treatments and I was fixed. No more back pain and it's been 8 or 9 months since the treatment. I was told all kinds of stuff by several chiro's - they could get me straightened out but the adjustments never "took". Found out that the reason was due to a muscle imbalance (hip flexor) that were pulling me out of alignment. Fixed the problem, no more pain. Might be worth a shot. PM me if you want to know the Doc I saw.

Dr. Ludwig Orozco, Neurosurgeon in Rowlett at Texas Brain and Spine. He did my surgery in Feb and he is very thorough and very good. I have BCBS high deductible plan and they took it.
