Problems with Hoyt Limbs in CS30

I just had Texas Archery install a brand new set of 70-80lb carbon fiber colored limbs on my camo CS30 and brand new red/black 60x strings. About my 20th shot I hear a small tick come from bottom of bow and sure enough one FO these limbs splintered in the same exact spot my stock ones did.

Richard said it's a common problem and I can sand it smooth and should be fine. Bow is still shooting flawlessly and splinter hasn't spread. But I don't have the warm and fuzzy feeling I normally have this close to the season.

Have any of you experienced this with the limbs on any of your Hoyts?

Yep, Bowtech isn't the only one with limb problems. Hoyts are just less drastic. I have heard of quite a few and even had a limb splinter on my carbon element. But usually just a splinter. I was nervous to clip and sand but it didn't make a difference in function.

I did the same thing with a set of limbs from BT. I'd continue to shoot it but would get the next set of limbs on order.

I do not recall the grit. I'd assume just enough to smooth out any burs. I even put some black nail polish on the splinter to maybe help from developing anymore burs. I agree with mr. Whiskers, get a new set in order or send these back to Texas archery and see if they can do anything?

The set that just splintered were brand new, they were on my bow for maybe 29 shots and did the same thing as last set, same place.
