    Dried in Cabin Shell price?

My parents and I are looking at some property in the hill country. They are wanting to build a 1000'sf cabin but just a dried in shell that we would finish. No foundation would be built on blocks. Anyone have any idea what that would cost? Also what is the going rate for a 1000sf slab just for comparison.

A six inch slab should run you about $5/sqft in most areas.

Derkson buildings. Also Lelands in Lampasas does cabins. Paradise builders in Brady.

Not picky. Not wanting a shack but don't need a mansion either. Real simple essenilly square build w a peaked roof and a loft. Has to be 1000sf minimum per deed restrictions. Probably want hard board siding.

I'm having a 10x20 lofted barn built by Derkshan (Uvalde Office but they have others). The cost wit a few extra's and wiring was just under $ 6,500. They deliver for free. They do have larger cabin model's.

I did an Ulrich lofted barn earlier this year. 10x16 with additional 4 foot porch. Lofted, peak vent, metal roof, delivered and leveled for $6k. Very happy with it.

I paid ~$14k to have this cabin done. I did all the work once they had the shell complete.

Looks like around $30/sf would be the going rate? Am I way off?
