Be careful if you are getting feeders going that have been idle

Lots of dangers in idle feeders

Wasps are the first thing I worry about

Found this devil hiding in a control panel I opened up
Squished it with a stick and then used
Stick to gather up all of the web

We had a big nest of red wasps in a protein feeder we laid over to rework. Almost got us and they swarmed for an hour. Needless to say we will come back with dynamite and a flame thrower.

I wasn't so lucky. A red wasp got me on the bridge of my nose. I was helping a friend fill feeders and WAM !!! Stupid me, I knew better.

Late Sat night I was sipping whiskey under an oak by the house, went to get up and bam stung. First thought was snake but I grabbed a light and saw a **** red wasp crawling all over the ground lol. He died but my foot hurts.

I absolutely hate being stung by any kind of critter but prefer that to being bitten by a spider

You should have released him back into the wild, he was doing nothing wrong but looking for shelter..

Just kidding, was just following the lead of those the tell me I should have let a rattlesnake live cause he wasnt biting me at the time. I would have set the feeder on fire to be safe

Ugh, I'd rather find a rattle bug than that thing. Spiders creep me out.

I'm rebuilding both of my feeders with new motors and one was full of wasps. Good thing I always carry a can of wasp spray when I go to the lease.
