    Should I pass this buck?

    Of course I have an opinion on the matter myself, and also realize that having this buck in front of me may change everything. Just wondering what the fellow green screeners will say. The strange thing is that I don't have any pictures of this buck over the past years. The large eight point that he is with, I have pictures over the past three years and I am aging him at 5.5 maybe 6.5. So obviously he is the buck I would prefer to harvest and will shoot on sight if given the opportunity. But the large 11 looks incredible, but I'm thinking he may be younger, and I would love to see these genetics spread around this year. Any thought?

      Looks young to me. I would go for the big 8 and leave him alone. Hes got plenty growing to do yet in the next year or 2.

        I always look at pictures before I read the thread or comments and I was thinking he looks young as well.

        Stick to your gut and take the mature 8 point and let this guy breed and grow into an absolute stud!

            Here is a buck we passed last year. He is very identifiable by his white front legs. Sorry couldn't find a better pic of him from last year.

                        That's my plan. As for other hunters, anyone who sees him will shoot. But I have lots of deer that survive each year. Just gonna keep my fingers crossed and hope no one shoots him.
