    Snake ID

Pretty familiar with my snakes but not sure on this species. Slender and long body. Black with a white stripe running just above his belly line, and I believe I saw a faint red line at the same level near his tail. Found him in the middle of shedding. Found outside Johnson City. I'm thinking racer or coachwhip?

We just call them black racers, not a generally mild mannered snake, disturbed a den full several years ago while hunting rattlesnakes, darn things things ran us off the side of the hill.

Now, this was a snake ID thread worth reading. I had no earthly idea this snake even existed.
