Hunting a pond. Two of them snuck in on me. I was about to update the live hunt when I heard water splashing. I looked over the brush and see a deers back. Could not see antlers yet.

I put my release on the string and then forgot I need to range the deer. Then I see antlers. Then I see another buck with him....only smaller.

27 yds. I re-nocked and then put it on him. Beautiful quartering away shot.

THWACK! It hit perfectly! Blood was pouring out of him and I knew I would watch him tip over. Sure enough he ran 60 yds and fell.

The other buck hung around until I gathered myself. Could not stop shaking (that's why we bow hunt right?). Went to him and give thanks!
