Hey Guys, what's going on near Mason? I am heading out tomorrow! We hunt about nine miles nort of Mason. What does the urt look like?

as of sunday morn no rut!

we are 11 miles north of mason off of sandy lane...this weekend they shot two good 8 pointers. both of which came in head down to the ground runnin does. there is three different bucks im after, and none of them showed(thank teh lord, they would have been shot)...the trailcam said they were coming in like clock work. every day at 3:30. when they start breaking their patterns they start runnin does. im pumped. im headin down saturday at 3. and two buddies are headin south of llano friday night. where are you at in mason? sounds like your close. we are very close to the Schmitd Double T ranch.

We are of of 1222 near Camp Air northwest of Mason.

let me look on a map or somethin. i drive right through camp air every morning to go out there. we are just south of camp air behind teh grape orchard.......hmmm. interesting.

if its ruttin time, it sure is gettin slow. just got a call from my grandpa saying he sat in the blind to see if my deer was coming in and the deer didnt show, but there was a total of 16 deer at the feeder tonite. several bucks but all small yealring to 3.5 year olds. es no bueno. the little bucks would chase a little then start eating lol. soooo idk.

I had a 3.5 year old eight pushing a doe hard last weekend but the rest of the deer seemed to ignore him. He was really working, stompoing and grunting. Thought maybe that was the beginning.
