It's been a good run, Texas. Time to move on.

This is a bitter-sweet moment for me. I accepted a promotion with Lockheed Martin in Wisconsin as a systems engineer on ship instrumentation and propulsion on the LCS littoral combat ship.

Ironically enough, the second ship commissioned was the USS Fort Worth. [emoji6]

THB has been my family before I even moved to Texas. I have met some wonderful, wonderful people on here over the past ten years. Yeah, really bitter-sweet moment for me.

There's a couple of people I wanna thank for being true to me all these years.

Michael "Boss Man" Middleton and fam: Boss, you were one of the first members I've met. You have an amazing family that in some weird way, I feel attached to (I wonder why...[emoji23]). We'll be back for Nanza '17. Love you guys.

Gary "Stinkbelly" Withagher: My partner in crime. I've never met anyone in my life with so much zeal for ALL TYPES of hunting like you. We've shared the same lease since I moved to Texas and have been on countless hunts together. You're the sole reason I became a quack head. Lol. Thanks for being my brother. Love ya man.

Eric "Texasbound" Lee: Oohrah, devil dog! You were the first person off the GS I hunted with and I am glad to have you as a brother. Good thing you live on the other side of town. Oh, the ply double to be had.... I'll be there in your big day![emoji6]Semper Fi. Love ya bro.

To the guys on my group txt:
    Skylar "TexasWicked1"
    Sean "txdukkllr"
    Steve "jooger17"
    WT "WT"
    Chris "ntxjeep"
    Ronnie "MitchBCS"
    Gabriel "gpeña"
    Gerard "popup_menace"
    Gerald
Travis "TXBLKCLD" Johnson: proverbs 27:17 says iron sharpens iron, so shall one person sharpens another. I have had the privilege of having a strong support group of Christian brothers to keep in straight and for that, I thank y'all. Love you guys.

Mike "Texasgrown" Berry and Lenny "Squiggy" Moore: Listen folks, you'll be hard pressed to find any more nicer or giving people on the green screen. Both men will give you the shirts off their backs and I thank them for that. They are my brothers for life. Love you guys.

Jeff "FishnDadio" Scott: you were one of the first TBH'ers I met as well. You have been a brother to me and I love you like one. Gonna miss you. Send my love to Lyn.

Jason "Smart" Smart: Man, we've laffed together, fought each other, and laffed some more together. You know, is big dudes gotta stick together! I promise I won't tell anyone you're a closet cheesehead. [emoji6] love ya brother.

Saying goodbye to your buddies is one of the hard things in life, no doubt.....hopefully you can touch bases with them periodically. I hear there are some big deer in Wisconsin, maybe you will get after a couple.

Good luck on the new gig.

It's been a good run, Texas. Time to move on.

Oscar "Landrover" Taylor: Brother, you have been such an inspiration on so many levels, you'll never know. Your wisdom and outlook over everything from hunting to political views is something I really admire. Hope to met you in person one day. Love ya brother.

Deb and Arvin: you guys are the reason I hunt traditional/primitive. Thanks for your help all these years. Love you guys.

Moser: my brother from another mother. You're one of the realist people on this site and I'm glad to call you brother. Love ya man.

Nealla and Jason Mears: y'all been family to Kimberly and I. I love you guys with my every being. I'm your herpes: one day out of the blue, I'll pop up again. [emoji23]love y'all.

Chew, Speedgoat, Byran Holcomb, Jacob, Ragin, Blake, Bob Sarrels, Heath, Jerp, Hogdude, Ouch, Fig and many, many more I wish I had the time to mention, but my allergies are acting up the screen is getting a little hard to see. Just know that I appreciate all the good times at the Nanza and on the green screen. No better place on the web. [emoji1474]

Not sure when I report date is, but I'm trying to stretch it out as long as possible to squeeze in one last hunting season in before I travel to the frozen tundra. [emoji12]

I love all you guys. I mean that. Thanks for being family when my actually family wasn't "family".

                    Leon.

**** Leon!! I'm happy for you and the promotion but **** sad to see you go. Especially closer to that crappy football team you love so much![emoji12]. Seriously though.... Congrats on the promotion. Couldn't happen to a harder working dude and a nicer guy. I bet the grandparents are excited to have y'all closer too. Good luck on the move and don't be a stranger my friend!!

Good luck with the new gig. Proof that hard work pays big dividends!

I don't see you leaving Texas as a big loss , I see it as an opportunity to hunt some northern whitetails in the near future!

I see some polar weight camo in your near future too!
