    PVC pipe on deer feeder

I was wondering if anyone has any Idea on how to make the set up. I know you want a bigger diameter of PVC on the legs to let them roll off. But what to hold t to the leg? How long does it need to be? And also any pictures would help!

I believe he's wanting to ward off the coons.

I use 3 or 4 inch PVC about 3 feet long. Drill a hole in top end and use nylon string and tie it to the top of leg so the PVC is at least 2 feet off the ground. That's what I do.

This photo is from El Gato's thread in the Game Management forum titled "A year in the life of a farm", and I believe it's worked for him:

I use one 10' joint cut into 3 pieces. (40" each)
Suspend with chain. Works well except when feeder legs have too much Angle and pipes don't spin enough on my lightweight chain.

I use 4" schedule 40 PVC, 3' long. Mine are about 19" off the ground but it depends on length and angle of your feeder legs. Not sure it matters. I use flexible metal mounted to the underside of the feeder to hold them in place. It allows them to swivel and swing a little bit if a coon were to try to climb up them. I rub them down in lithium grease.
