The state is reducinging the speed limit from the Chambers county line to Beaumont to 65 MPH. Word is that it will be strictly enforced as soon as the signs are up. Too many deadly accidents since it went to 75.

Thanks for the heads-up. Disagree with the move; perfectly straight and level roadway all through there. Lower speed limit is going to bunch up traffic and be detrimental, frustrating and dangerous, in my opinion.

All Chambers county or counties adjoining the city of Houston, speed limits are reduced. It was 55mph a couple of years ago
