Great buck! Where are y'all in Colorado? All the archery season bucks I've seen and killed in southern Colorado didn't have that white face yet. He will make a buetiful mount. Keep those horns cold, it don't take long for the velvet to expire past the point of good preservation. Congrats.

This one was taken up by Mt. Evans. We just tried to score him our selves and come up with 167 then looked at his much you would deduct for velvet and most say 5%. We don't know what we are doing when it comes to actually measure them. We just went off the Boone and crocket web sight, but I feel we were close.

He has got deer opening day first thing in the morning for three consecutive seasons now, and they get bigger each time.

I would try a keep the velvet on it looks awesome. And pope and young has a velvet category.

Ha! Not a bad problem to have. I would rather be lucky than good but three years in a row might mean he's good. Congrats on a great buck!
