Solar panel for Browning Strike Force game camera?

I bought 3 Browning strike force game cameras last year and love them. However, I burn through the AA batteries.

Has anyone ever tried to hook up a 6 Volt rechargeable battery and solar panel the the Strike Force camera? Can it be done?

The specs on a browning strike force say it has a 12volt external power link. So I'd buy a 12v solar panel with a similar connection (eBay or some place) and give it a try. I was going to do the same with my primos proof cameras but I haven't gotten to it yet.

Have you tried lithium batteries? I don't know how many pics I'll get from a set of lithiums but its several thousand. I will typically get 6 months from a set.

The owners manual says it has a 12 volt portal, but sells no accessories or tells you how to hook up a gel cel battery / solar panel combo. I am not too bright when it comes to electrical , so was curious to see if it could be done and how...

So the plug that goes into bottom of the camera is pretty standard. It's tough to track down the name of it, I did it once but don't remember now, m22 or something. Once you get that name you can but the opposite end you have (male/female). Then you just get the solar panel you need and cut and replace the connection the panel comes with your new one. After you do that once you're good for the life of the set up.

Maybe I should start making a bunch of 12v solar panels with connectors ready for trail cameras. Lol I could make tens of dollars.

Buy these on eBay, a good price is somewhere around 1.45$ a battery, check the expiration date and make sure they still have plenty of life. Most say somewhere around 2032. These are all I keep in my house now. They say 9x's longer and I believe them.

Look in the DIY section and there are several guys that have done battery/solar panel set ups for game camera's.

                          I have 12 Strike Forces.
                          Use ultimate lithiums in them.
Have 1 that is in an open field that takes from 500 to 1000 pix per night.
Am using a Moultie solar panel with it.
                          Looks like this...
