Set screw for rest?

I bought a new Mathews halon 6 yesterday and had a qad had rest put on it, but the set screw on the rest doesn't hit the riser it is in between where it's milled out.. I thought about drilling and tapping a different hole in the rest but surely something else has to be wrong?

Just FYI....

if you're referring to the little set screw not the mounting bolt, then it's completely unnecessary. I never use mine and have had 0 issues.

I wouldn't worry about it. Just tighten the mounting bolt down tightly
