    Suzuki Samurai mechanic questions

I am at a point where I can use something small and 4x4 for around the house chores and deer camp. I have the trailer/s needed to haul anything up to a tractor, so I'm not worried about going bigger than a SxS or 4 wheeler. After a bunch of poking around, it seems like a lot of people are happy with their samurais. Since I'm nowhere close to a mechanic, and nobody I know personally has worked on one, I wanted to ask the owners here on TBH.

How hard are these things to keep running?
Are aftermarket motor parts hard to find?
Are there any recurring problems that I would need to stay on top of?

Any info is good info at this point, since I'm going to be buying one small 4x4 for all of my play around needs.

I love my Sami but if your gonna use it to haul anything around or even pull a trailer I would lean more toward a single cab Toyota, ranger, Dakota etc. if it is light weight work a gas golf cart is good also.

To your question yes Samos are pretty easy to work on and parts are easily available. They are good for driving around but no necessarily for hauling or working out of IMO

Love mine. Looked at a bunch before I found one I liked that wasn't trashed.

Easy to work on. Swithcing the carb out was my main reliability mod to all the ones I had. The aftermarket is unlimited for these things. I highly recommend www.trailtough.com, great people to buy from and quality parts/mods

Mine was easy to keep running
I think if you have a rack front (hitch haul) and back, a raised rear seat
They make a great hunting rig
Mine would haul a lot of weight for its size.
I agree with finding a stock with very little rust.
After market and Google are awesome for them.
