Press runs with whatever they heard. The push is to be first, not accurate. They figure they can always print a retraction if the story turns out to be wrong.

LOL I wasn't going there but that makes one think.

I was referring to everything in general. Seems like even non-profits turn out to be scams...and more churches. Thought maybe I was seeing more now that I'm older.

Exactly ! After all the hand wringing and hoopla about Nixon and Watergate, Reagan and IranContra, we have the most dishonest president ever ( and the runnerup ) protecting the most dishonest candidate ever and sheparding her in to the oval office.

On top of that, we have a lineup of corrupt Republicans in Congress who have no idea what most Republicans want out of the people who pay their salaries. The Constitution has been perverted to read " By the politicians, for the politicians " and I am certain that this country is lost.
