Collins played Tackle in practice his rookie year. It didn't go beyond that. Leary played his best season last year and it was popular opinion that the OL got better after he took over. I wish Collins could play Tackle. It's much easier to draft a Guard in late rounds, and I hope he gets better even if it is at Guard.

And the Oline got worse when Doug Free started playing his early years but you think he is pretty good now.. Some say he still sucks but he was a veteran and filled a need for the Cowboys on the right side. Whether Collins plays guard or tackle, he will improve. It's the nature of the Oline game. I've read he's got a mean streak like Zach and Frederick too.

I'm not saying he will be Larry Allen, but Larry Allen was a much better guard than he was a tackle and he was able to play tackle when we needed him too due to injury.

Collins was a tackle in his last two seasons in college but was projected as a guard just as Zach Martin was.

If we don't have any other choices he can fill a need until we can fill it otherwise. Chaz Green is a candidate too but he's suspect as well.

Frankly I'm surprised Free retired with such a good team around him. I'm guessing he didn't want to go through another year of false starts,holds and replays of being blown by pass blocking ..

Free was a mauler in the run game. He just had a hard time in the pass against speed rushers. I thought he played well. Maybe he was the weakest part of the OL, but someone had to be that guy.

I think Wilcox wanted too much. The defense was better when Church was in. I'm curious what Heath does with full-time duty.

Free hasn't retired yet. The articles are just speculation. If he does, he's giving some serious money back to JJ.
