    Meat processor Recommendation. Austin area

Long story short I have about three deer chunked up and ready to be processed. We moved right in the middle of sausage making season and didn't have time to do it with my buddies this year. So who around the Austin area makes good sausage and has a clean processing plant?

Hudsons. Case closed. God takes his meat there.

Id go to Granzines in New Braunfels area for sausage. I have been around Austin for a while and would not use Hudsons. If you have to use someplace in Austin I would use Smokey Denmark

Agree with Glen. I started using Hudson Bend Meat Market which should not be confused with Hudson's on South Congress. They are a little family owned place that does a great job. Buddy of mine turned me on to them a few years ago and I've been very pleased. They've processed axis, elk and whitetail for me and always done a great job. Best part of the deal is they are 10 minutes from my house, but maybe not so convenient for many folks in Austin. They're out off 620 almost to Lakeway. I think the guy that runs the place is family to the folks that started Hudson's on South Congress but sold out 10 or so years ago. They don't have a website but Google says they have a Facebook page

If on the north side, try Klein's in Pflugerville. They don't mix meat from different sources, but handle each order individually. Relatives and friends have used them for years and never disappointed. The shop is behind the owner's home.

I would NOT recommend Hudson's on South Congress. I agree with ZZ Pops. Kleins in Pflugerville is the absolute best place. The dry Salami is to die for. Excellent service. Only place I take my meat if I do not process it myself. Good people. Super Clean facility.

I always use Smokey Denmark. No co mingling plus the packaging is top notch too.

                    the bomb

Klein is great too but they usually won't accept meat unless they have room and are always full
