Had a focused DOT audit last Tuesday with the Fed's. Auditor came in and sat down and asked if I had the materials he needed to see. (list with about 20 different items on it) I asked him what he wanted first and handed the items to him as he asked, trucking guys know the drill. (mileage, trucks, drivers, accident reports, inspection reports, MS90 and 150, driver files, maintenance files, etc.)
He spent a couple hours with me and we made a visit with the shop to talk with the head mechanic and look at his certifications.
Got a call yesterday and the auditor said we were good and had no issues. He was gonna write 2 violations and no citations or fines. (1 expired inspection and 1 radar detector) Our rating will remain "Satisfactory."
I like a great report! Looking back over the years this is about the 9th audit I have been through with all "Satisfactory" ratings. Thank you Lord!
