    Dual cam bows

Question for yall. Do you dual cam bow owners increase and decrease draw weight on your own, or take it to pro shop to have adjusted? I am paranoid to increase my draw weight bc i am worried about cams getti g "out of sync." Am i being TO PARANOID or should i just make tic marks and just do it?? Im at 63lbs, but i want to max it out again.

THe guys at CCR showed me how to do it but I haven't done it yet. They told me to do the increment changes the same top and bottom (i.e. quarter turn/half/full etc) It seems fairly simple but I'm ok with it as is for now.

A proportional increase/decrease in draw weight adjustment will not change cam synchronization. It does change the starting rotation of the cam slightly but as long as the initial starting position is correct between the two and the limbs are adjusted equally then the bow should be fine.

The bow should be set up at peak weight anyway, then backed off accordingly. You never should set a bow to spec with it backed out, that's simply not how they are designed/engineered. If you don't have then means or are not comfortable in setting the bow up then it should be taken to a reputable shop. However if it was set up properly, is still in spec and you simply backed it off then a quick turn of an Allen wrench is all you need.

I have every reason to believe the bow in question was set up at peak weight initially. I have had maxed out, backed off, maxed out, backed off, and now, i want to max it out again. I have reason to believe that if I make a tic mark on the allen screw and make equal turns on top and bottom i should ok. I will give it a whirl and see what happens.

The first thing I do after setting up a bow is to torque stripe the limb bolts to allow for easy tuning reference in the future. If you set it up at max and have been making equal adjustments since you should be fine with your described course of action.

Well, i maxed my bow out and i was delivering Muddyfuzzy built Black Eagle Spartan's down range at blistering speeds with a very tight group. Not a good idea. Needless to say some arrows are now missing some blazers.
