Black gar!

Anyone ever see a solid black gar? I caught it at Choke Canyon the other day. Not sure if it is common or one of natures rarities.

I've seen some dark spotted gar but not solid black. That's pretty cool.

Hmm? First for me. I have seen some dark ones but it was more green than anything.

I don't see them around here I've lived in Chambers County all my life and have seen a whole lot of gar. We have a bit of brackish water here. Plenty of really dark green ones, never a black one.
