Better seeds, healthier farming practices. Expect yield trends to continue upwards.

Unfortunately, a good yield doesn't mean much when prices aren't very good.

We had a very good year but not record breaking here in southeast Texas. We averaged around 160 bushels per acre on 6,000 acres. To bad prices are crap.

Been hovering between 3.50-4.00 a bushel

We had guys making a 100 bushels/A + in south Texas on dry land (well rain fed this year) ground which are dang good for here. Same thing though, with the prices being low the profit margin really shrank.
