Loctite when mounting a scope?

Anyone use loctite or any other type adhesive when mounting a scope?

Big No No. Just use torque wrench.

I have been doing it for nearly 40 years no issues and never had an issue with one I put on coming loose

Just for the base to the receiver.

I don't use anything on the rings.

If you decide to use it, get the blue, it doesn't set as hard as the red. You may want it off someday.

I used the blue on my ar, still tighter than Richards hat band.

I use some of my wife's nail polish. Doesn't get as hard as loctite, holds but easier to break loose if needed.

I have white, not sure how good it is. Thoughts on it? Caliber is .308. Not a huge recoil.

I have seen loose scopes twice that's it not get loc .

I use to but don't even do that any more. I have a torque screwdriver and it helps.
