Be careful with privet, it is HIGHLY invasive. There is an 80 acre park near me that is impassable due to 6 foot high privet. It smells sweet as honeysuckle while it is blooming, but those blooms turn into thousands, upon thousands, of seeds per bush. It can VERY quickly get out of control.

Check with nurseries for them and make sure you get a non invasive variety. There are some that are better than others.Comment
