    Meat grinder

I am looking at grinders and wanted to see if anyone had any input. Looking at 3/4 hp. Looking at LEM , cabelas and weston. All of them are priced within $15 so no problem there. Anyone have an experienced recommendation?

I would guess you can't go wrong with any in that size. We have a cabelas one in that size and it is a beast. Takes longer to cut pork shoulders into grinder size pieces than it does to grind them.

I have an LEM in that size and it eats it as fast as you can feed it.

Had our Cabelas 1.5HP for about 11 years now and its never missed a beat and will grind anything you put in it.

We got a 1HP Cabelas Grinder last season. It can handle way more than we give it, so a 3/4 horse would be plenty sufficient. I literally put a half a back strap down mine one time just to see, and it grinded the whole thing without skipping a beat. Who needs to cube meat?

I just got a 1HP cabelas grinder, I read good things about it. Hopefully I can give a full report soon.

I picked up a LEM #12 Big Bite last year and it is nice. Picked it up on sale at Bass Pro around Christmas and they had a promo for a free foot pedal. A foot pedal is a must if you are going to stuff with it.

Only negative, is getting parts out of LEM took some time. They had the larger SS stuffer tube I needed on back order and it took about 4-5 months to get it. I made due with a smaller one in the meantime.

Hunting season is closer by the day. Cabelas has a couple of customer CC appreciation sales where you get employee pricing. You can save a bunch of $$$ if you get in on this. I have their 1 1/2 hp grinder and 30lb meat mixers and they make it easy making sausage.

I am happy with the Cabelas 1 hp. I suggest jumping up to the 1 hp just because it can handle larger cubes of meat.

I also have the 3/4 hp Cabelas grinder. I've never had a problem with it and it is a grinding fool.

I have a 2.5 hp commercial grinder so I am just looking for something small for small batches. The big one take longer to wash than to grind. Thank you for yalls input.
