I think the 1st rut is winding down in East Texas. Sighting are slim to none. I saw bucks chasing does hard the 2nd week of Oct. Look at the scrapes. When they are active and being hit the bucks are not with does. I am now seeing scrapes being hit again

It will be on in Richland Springs next weekend, saw a few signs of rut yesterday, but nothing like THE RUT! one or two more weeks it will be prime down there.

buck i shot today was ruttin pretty good. he was a cull but still....rut activity! this was south of iraan. heck all i saw in two sittings were a crapload of turkeys, 3 does one small buck and then the small one i shot. they are around. i had to leave the feeder and make it happen for me. works everytime

X3. I saw a couple of older bucks in October, but opening weekend of gun season all we saw were young bucks. I will try again next weekend. Hope the weather cooperates better than last weekend.

I had one doe this morning and 9 bucks, 3 were 5.5 yrs atleast.
