i have been going twice a year for the last 16 years,, Maurice is still good , but his grandson does most of the work now, he is good also... they have updated the bunks and they needed it,, he does have a good deer herd but it is not a trophy ranch, he also has a lot of hogs and a very good axis herd, he has different types of sheep, and the auodad herd has been growing with some decent animals,, sometimes he has a few sika, his fallow population is very low right now,,, i have almost always been very successful on my trips which is why i keep going back,,,,
both fingershooter and milman have been going that last couple of years with me,, it has not been hard getting them to go back!Last edited by xman59; 08-12-2016, 02:33 PM.

I agree with all Fingershooter and xman said. Yes, it's not a trophy ranch. But, they have a good population there. Maurice is a great man who has every time I've been out there took the time to come over and talk with us. His grandson has been working with us every time I've been out and has never put me anywhere on the ranch I didn't have a shot opportunity.
My opinion is the group your there with makes the hunt. Hench why I'm booked again this fall with xman for another 4 day hunt and my uncle is flying in from PA to hunt with our group again.
Overall it's not a high end trophy ranch, but for the money it's a great place to go with a group of friends that don't break the bank. Feel free to pm me if you have additional questions, I'm out of San Antonio also.

I went last year and loved it. Saw animals on every sit. Of course I was on the axis doe hunt and never had one in range, but I saw them on 3 out of 4 hunts. Had some nice axis bucks, hogs, whitetails, and Rams within range though. Maurice seems like a great guy and is a blast to just talk to and listen to his many hunting stories. That guy has had a heck of a life.
