    need advice from LEO

I'm self employed and have 9 employees. I pay them cash. So I get a phone call from an employee and tells me a $100 bill is fake. I get all my money from the bank. What do I need to do? I seriously doubt it was given to me fake. I believe this employee had it and is blaming me. This really ****** me off. I've been paying cash for 9 years never had this problem. This same employee calls in every week so typically works 2-3 days a week with me
So..... What's next what do I need to do?
    Thanks in advance

I'd have him/her bring it to my bank and let them verify. If it is fake, they will turn it over to the Secret Service. You may have to pay him (again).

With regard to only working 2-3 days a week, that is enough absence to say "I need someone more reliable, so adios." Sounds like the "brown bottle flu." Either way, you no longer have that problem.

I would've fired him by now anyways.
What kind of example are you showing your other employees by keeping him on.
That its ok to call in when you want.... That you won't fire them...

Looking for his replacement. Sometimes its best to wait. Were already short handed should be 12 guys working when time is right people do get fired for calling in

X2. Hopefully you're withholding, employer matching, and submitting payroll taxes to the government........

World Wide Web is not the best place to post this info.

Don't have to worry about that pesky forms that way, SSN, I-9, W-2, ID, etc.

Ya'll are assuming he's paying cash to get around taxes and with holding. As a business if he's been doing this for 9 years then the IRS would have already looked into him multiple times. Sometime's it's best just to look at the question being asked and don't assume he's trying to get around stuff.
