Navy/Airforce ROTC Questions

Anyone go the Army/Navy ROTC scholarship route for college or have kids that are doing it? Oldest son graduates in May 2017 and wants to do Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. We are thinking it would be a pretty good deal.

3rd generation Marine here but I really don't want him going that route since he is looking into the technical field.

I'd have him fillout the online application now! This year's ROTC season has been open, and the first round of boards is starting shortly. The earlier he gets his application, essays, and interviews done, the more looks he will get before the boards close out for the year. Application deadline and package submission deadlines will be in January. They have until the start of their sophomore year to decide if they want to remain in the program, without penalty. Have you looked at A&M and the Corps of Cadets? That is another way to go.
