So after some contemplating I bought some accessories for my DSLR. 3 of my other good buddies(2 of which are Tbh members) are in for it. I have this DSLR, a handycam, and I think a couple action cameras. I almost have my boat water ready to start getting some b-roll for an intro! Just waiting in rain...

I've filmed hundreds of hunts. Probably have 50 on YouTube.

I was big into the YouTube hunting community back in 2008-2012.

Here's a cool little self filmed hunt I did a few years ago. I think it turned out pretty good.

Yep! Learn from above approve all comments. Turn voting off. Bc if PETA or other animal rights groups go after you they can have you shut down or sensor your videos.

My daughter started a channel when she was 16. Now she has two channels and so far is booked with stuff that will gross her around $50k this year. If you want to invest the time and keep on it might be worthwhile.

It's silly but she has such an incredible following.

Man that's awesome! Is she selling stuff via social media too and making appearances or is that just strictly from doing YouTube stuff?

She actually makes about 50% on Instagram. She gets all types of endorsements.

I have a channel for the nv scope I make. I do very little editing, mostly because its a major pain. My videos are pretty much just the kill shot, I dont have much of a personality so I dont video myself.

I have a YouTube channel that I farted around with for a little while. I'm thinking about getting it fired back up again. But it's a lot of work to do by yourself.

My 18 year old son has a youtube page with 35K subscribers and his instagram has 192K followers. Its all fishing stuff and he has some deals with lure companies/rod makers/etc.....He was invited to iCast this year and made alot of industry contacts that were already familiar with his videos.

He is making a decent income with it for a college kid...but trying to take it to the next level where he can actually make a living doing it. He's doing it all on his own....so we are proud of him for that. In order to make big money doing it it has to be a full time job.....posting daily content and investing in good equipment, and collaborating with other popular youtube channels. Its all about the "views".

txdukklr that is fantastic that your daughter is making it. Huge congrats to her! I know how hard it is to succeed watching the work my son puts in it.

That's super awesome too! Luckily, I wrote a program last year to post stuff for me on a timer! I've got 17K followers on Twitter and like 20K on a hunting and fishing Instagram account that I run. I don't know what I could get transfer rate wise to YouTube but I think it's a good start. I would love to do this full time. I also own a duck call business and want to start a clothing line hunting and fishing related. So I think this would be a good opportunity to bring it altogether, maybe boost my own sales, and maybe others. But it could also be an opportunity to juggle all of the businesses and make a living at it. We'll see where it goes!
