I wasn't sure what to do so I did nothing. Messed up situation.

I was putting gas in my truck this morning and had a guy and girl walk past me. I would guess they were in their 20's a few seconds go by and I hear the girl scream, I look up and the guy had his hands around her throat and nearly pushes her to the ground. They both look at me and start walking off as I'm still putting fuel in my truck. I then see the girl running down the road looking over her shoulder back at the guy. He is running after her so I pull up beside her and asked her if she was ok and if she needed help. She said no I'm fine and keeps walking. I start to pull away and see her in my mirror looking back at the guy and starts running again as he is chasing her yelling. I turn my truck back around and ask her again if she needs help and I tell her I seen him choke her. She said no he never touched me and that she was fine. I told her we could call the police and I would tell them what I saw and she said no that she was fine. As I pull off she is running again and he is chasing her into a store. He would never approach when I was talking to her, but would chase her every time I pulled away. I didn't know what else to do so I did nothing. It has bothered me all day. Sorry for long read.

Nothing you can do for someone whom does not want help. You did everything you could and still respect her rights and free will. Sad situation. Domestic violence is an insidious evil. Pray for her. Be at peace. Don't beat yourself up.

If she ain't got sense enough to do something about it then that's on her. She's a dummy.

You did what you should have done. Even if you called police she would have told them the same thing and they would have left.

Nothin you can do if she doesn't want help. Even if you would have called the cops if they would have caught up to them if she said nothing happened they wouldn't be able to do anything.

Weird stories indeed. There was a shooting in Bryan today. Apparently a road rage deal...

You did right, i promise you if you would have confronted the guy she would have taken his back and turned on you in a heartbeat. Its just bad all around and best to just walk away and if its too bad call the authorities to deal with it.

I've had this exact same scenario play out at a gas station by my house. The only difference was I walked over to the guy to ask him what his problem was and he then pointed a pistol at my forehead and recommended that I mind my own business.

I witnessed a man and woman fighting(she much more violently than he was...I think he was trying to remain calm). She punched the crap out of him a few times and he didn't hit her back, but they did start spitting in each other's faces. I pulled into the nearest parking lot and called the police non-emergency number and told them what I saw. I was more worried about them pushing one or the other into the very busy traffic just a couple of feet away. The police showed up and I drove away. I didn't feel bad one bit about meddling in their business. It could have escalated and someone could have been hurt or killed.
