    Kansas Report

Well,it seems that we were approx. 2 weeks earlier than what we should have been, and I really think that it would have been better if the weather would have been better. The majority of the trip had us in the upper 70's during the daytime, with minimal deer movement throughout the entire trip.I saw only a handful of bucks during the daylight hours, and caught sight of a couple of my target bucks leaving the are for their bedding grounds at 5:00am,as I was driving in to the farm. The big non-typ was wreaking havoc on my sleeping habits, and my conscience,as he appeared to be "taunting" me with his nightly appearances on my camera, and tell-tale sounds of him moving through the bottom, only a few yards of me most mornings, working scrapes and nibbling on treats, only to be confirmed back at the room at mid-day to be him on the camera each time! The morning of the time change (which we had forgotten all about, and did not adjust clocks),left me with evidence on my camera that there was a shooter 10 pt in under me at 7:53 am that day.I do not know what would have became of that had I been in stand, because he was coming in from a wind direction that was entirely wrong for this set-up.With my upcoming hunt in Colorado fast approaching,I won't be able to get back up there and hunt the bruiser until possibly December, when we are off for our Christmas break, and hope like the dickens that he isn't all busted up.I have gotten a ton of other pics(over 3,000 on one card),but have not had time to upload all of 'em,and sort through them.I have some great close-ups of ole Gnarly workin' over my scrape!

    CrabClaw 10 he's still a pup,oughta be a good one next year.

One of my 10's which I saw headed to bed well b4 sunup

Ole "Gnarly" that was a big framed 8pt on me last year with matching kickers off of his G2's,what an increase this year!!!

Great Report. Sorry about the luck. Leaving tomorrow for 9 days. Thanks for leaving that one behind. No telling where he will be when the roaming starts.

Great pics! Two weeks ago i saw lot of deer but nothing big or mature enough to burn my tag on. my buddy called from the Mulvane area today to say he saw a HUGE 12 pointer standing in a field as he drove by slowly. Hopefully next week I can get out there if the weather cooperates!!!
