The only place they are cut down is for a shooting lane. Unless they can long jump 6 or 7 feet thats not the problem.

I would get out of that lease - sounds like the land owner is more interested in his sheep than his hunters; a common problem.
"I want to make the land owners either pay for the protein and corn that was lost or give us a couple of sheep to sacrifice."

Let us know how that works out for you!
WOW !!!

Don't Ya recon this landowner is a farmer first and leases hunting rights second? ????

(or the other way around ??) I have this little place that my family farmed for generations, and I lease it to hunters, .....................................and maybe put some sheep on it since the hunter will feed 'em for me?

Land owner isn't at fault. Build a better fence. Sheep are like goats. Once they figure it out, they won't leave. If it already has panels, put a couple of strands of wire above that and hope you don't catch any sheep or you will be buying them. Good luck.

My dad calls them grass maggots, and I tend to agree.

Is worth the price of corn to me to have some sheep close by.

LOL ! Where the men are men and sheep are nervous!

Don't know which protien you are feeding, but if it has copper in it, it can be deadly to sheep. Most protien tags warn about feeding to sheep. Might be a good thing they found the protien! ! !
We had sheep for the first three years, gone now and we can see a big change in the number of deer, especialy the does.
                        Good luck.

Do you know how to tell when you are getting close to College Station?---------------- When you pull over on the side of the road to take a leak and the sheep back up to the fence
