Deer links ( how long are the good for) ?

Here is the deal, my brother in law called me up and told he was cleaning out his big freezer and found some links that I gave him and long time ok. The thing is I didnt write the date on it. I was thinking of when it was that I gave to him. It was not from the deers this year for sure. I think it was from last deer season. But he and my sister thinks it was from the season before that. We vacum seal all meat that we do. So how long would it last. If they are right then it's been 2 years. I know that as for me and my family are meat is gone or about gone come the following season.

If it is made up of only deer meat then it will be fine for a number of years. However if it has hog meat in there with the deer, then that is another story.

I would thaw it out and see if it's any good. Since it's vacuum sealed, it might still be good. I keep fish anshrimp that long when it's vacuum sealed.

It's just your brother in law....hell, let him eat it. If he gets sick, then you have a baseline for when meat goes bad...
