The Archery season for me is my chance to get out and hunt mature bucks when they are the most patternable and calm. It does nmot take very many gunshots close to put a mature buck on the defensive. But not just gunshots, the presence of people educates them very quickly. i use it as my time to go into stealth mode and really try to find the big one. So yes, hot or not, mosquitos or not, it's my best chance to kill mature deer.

This whole thing reminds me of high school and some of you guys remind me of high school soccer players. Some of the players {soccer} spent plenty of time trying to convince everyone that Men play football and real men play soccer. Some were also convinced that most of the football players were just knuckle-dragging idiots.
I felt that part of the animosity derived from the popularity of football and the perks that came with being a football player. All they wanted was for someone to recognize their sport and maybe come to a game or two. It was not enough to be on the field playing the game they love to play. Some spent time trying to convince others that soccer was harder to play, more physical and required more skill.
The moral to my story: Enjoy doing what you do and don't act like a whiny-assed soccer player.
Oh yea, keep guns out of archery season and fight the power.Comment
