How to open a broke RV door

My daughters boyfriend called and his lock is broke on his RV. Anyone here with a misspent youth that knows how to get in without destroying the door? I think he should drive a screwdriver into the tumbler and turn it. He said the key goes in but won't turn. Any ideas.

Do any of the storage doors open up into the camper

Might spray some brake cleaner and/or oil into the key slot.

If it has a window in the door, bust it out, you can buy them for about $25, If not unscrew the door frame from the RV

That's what I had to do. Then take the latch off from the inside.

Drill out the lock. If you know where the screws are it will work better. They are midway on each side of the knob. Use about a 3/8 bit and drill till you hit them. The lock will eventually fall off with no damage to the door. I big flat head screwdriver can be used to release the plunger.

If it's a flat latch drill where the key hole is until it releases.

Just lube it. Happened to my pop up and worked like a charm.

Spray lubricant first and jiggle it a bit.. Then try to jimmy it with a credit card if the dead bolt it not locked. I did as the others suggested by accessing the storage area then into the camper, even found my lost flashlight during the process. Check the price of the windows before you lose your temper. Pop a lock does campers too....

Spray some lubricant in the lock and work the key in and out a few times. Next put the key in and keep pressure on the key as if to unlock it. Next tap the top of the key this might open it.
