    Ac help!!!

So my uncle came out and installed a used but good condenser on my father in laws shop. This was two years ago! Anyways so whenever you turn the Ac off fan in the attic keeps running but one on the condenser stops running. Then the compressor keeps running and freezes the system up. What could be the problem? I'm not an Ac guy and don't have the money to pay one. But I am very mechanically enclined. So what's the green screen got to say?

Sounds kinda crazy, if you got a meter there is probably a wiring schematics on inside cover,

I take it you mean when you turn the thermostat off, the fan in the attic ( blower in furnace or air handler ) keeps running, compressor ( out side) keeps running, but the condenser fan ( out side) stops running. This may not be what you explained as it seems odd. But the first thing I would look at is the contactor in the out door unit may be welded together. But it does not explain why the blower( attic unit) continues to run. Unless the thermostat is set to the fan on position.

It is quite common for the air handler to run for a short while after the compressor shuts off. I am not sure of the reason but surmise that it may be to tranfers some heat to the coils since they are chilled. This would boost efficientcy a bit.

I agree on the contactor being stuck. Check for voltage on the solenoid posts of the contactor. If there is no voltage and the compressor is still running it means that the contactor is not releasing when it should. I suppose that you need to kill the power and check the contacts and the spring in the contactor anyway.
