Hill country gas powered t post driver rental?

Anyone know of anywhere in the Fredericksburg, Harper, Doss area to rent one of those gas powered t post drivers?

I know this is not really answer your question, but most people out here rent a air compressor and a pneumatic hammer drill with a 1.5" bit and drill a hole then drive post.

Well a couple of the spots where I have to build pens are a good ways from camp. Guess I can trailer a generator, compressor, and pneumatic hammer or t post driver there. Just thought the gas powered one would be easier....

Just use a generator and an electric HDS hammer drill.

I tried that in Leakey with not much success. Ground was a little more rocky and dense their though...

Build round pens and you really don't need any post. They will stand on their own. Tie them off in places to any brush nearby.

The pens are going to be awkward shaped so we can utilize some bushes and trees but still will need a handful of tposts...

The air compressor your going to need for the pneumatic hammer drill is a trailer itself. I'm talking about one of the diesel powered air compressors. Most likely a ingersoll rand 185. If you only need a few holes this might be a little overkill but get some other guys on your lease to go in on the rental. You can get a bunch of holes done pretty quick. It's how all the commercial fence builders do it.

Ahhhhhh I'm following you now. Might be worth the money. You can lose a limb, teeth, sanity, and probably marriage driving those dang t posts in rocky ground by hand

Try calling D&D fence in Fredericksburg. They rent out equipment and if they don't have what you are looking for, they may be able to tell you who has what you are looking for - http://www.fenceandrental.com/index.shtml

Wish I would have had one a few weekends ago. Dry west Texas dirt with some rock mixed in was no fun driving T-post in.

Did you ever have any luck finding one? Driving some T post this weekend and not looking forward to it.
