    Obsession bows

I'm intrigued with these bows. No one I know has ever seen or shot one. Who has experience with these bows and what they offer that some of the other bows do not? What are they known for? Thanks in advance.

    What are you shooting now?

Most everybody that shoots them, loves them. I shot Elite for 5 years or so. Picked up an Obsession, and sold the Elite. Imagine anything you want in a bow, Obsession has it covered. You won't be disappointed and I'll leave it at that.

Do a search for Obsession. Several threads about them.

They're nice but they do not offer anything the others don't. Smooth nice shooting bows but don't be surprised if they don't hit their speeds.

Ive never shot a bow that DID hit their speed. I dont have a 30" dl, i dont shoot 70lbs dw, and i shoot a MUCH heavier arrow. So, therefore, i dont care about speeds. My .02

          Haha ok

There should still be a speed based off of the IBO numbers you should hit with YOUR dl, dw, and arrow weight. If you've never shot a bow that would hit those I don't know what to tell you because lots of bows will.

I shot Mathews for a very long time, went in to try the new one a year ago and saw the obsession hanging on the rack. Asked to shoot one and ended up buying a phoenix. I love it, will for sure buy another one when the time comes. You don't have to go through a " dealer net work " to get parts, weather warranty or not. Which is great also if you do your own work. Transferable warranty so if you sell it to get a new one every year or what ever the next guy gets a warranty also. Great color choices to choose from. Shoot great, smooth I have no complaints on mine. In fact I would would have no problem ordering a new one with out even trying it, which ever model I have tried all feel real good, and I think I would be happy with any of them.

i had an evolution, it did not make its ibo, i currently have a nightmare gt, exceeding its ibo, and a defcon m6, that does make its ibo, i have personally handled dozens of obsessions in the last 2 years , and all of them made ibo,,
so it is not true they are not,, 3 years ago it was true, if ibo is really important the only three companies who normally make ibo with all their bows are hoyt, pse and darton,, obsession is on the verge of making it 4 companies..

i have owned bows from at least 20 different companies,( Hoyt, pse, darton, whisper creek, bowtech, ben pearson, martin, sims, high country, evolution archery, APA, diamond, alpine, elite, winchester, parker, quest, ross, browning, rytera,... obsession has proven to be the nicest shooting with a superior blend of smooth, speed and feel,, they have a very solid wall with adjustable draw stops, they are quiet and haven proven to be as accurate as any other bow, personally i love the grip and the draw cycle over every other bow made, and i have never been totally locked on any company...... i shoot what i like because i can. I currently have 2 obsessions, 1 darton, 2 whisper creeks, 1 pse,,,,,, the obsessions get better than 90% of my shooting time,

I know brother. It was a friendly little jab. I still shoot my Mathews Monster bc it still shoots pretty darn fast considering the heavy arrows I shoot, coupled with my 29.5 dl, and im shooting 65lbs. It has a solid back wall and i absolutely love shooting it. Im to stubborn to go shoot anything else.

I was wondering haha. I still like the monsters.. Another good thing for Obsession is I really liked the grip. They are very good shooters just don't hit the numbers in most cases a little research shows that to not just be me but lots of people. That being said it would not stop me from getting another one. They're very smooth

I shot them for the first time this year. The defcon 6 was smooth and sweet. I ended up buying a different brand, but I walked away impressed.
