Shoot, spear, blow-up, or whatever but remove the pigs. I don't care if they are 5 or 500#, kill them.
As for the Axis, honestly I would stick him. I agree he is not some super trophy size, but I have yet to score one either and he would work for me.

That axis is definitely a respectable deer. He may not hit 30" but has good eye guards and cottles. I really don't see a good reason to let him walk in your situation if you get a chance at him.

None of them get a pass on my place. Axis nor pigs. But I only have 20 acres

I would love to line up two or three of those pigs
ThAt is a nice boar. 225 lb?
I would shoot that axis after I got rid if the pigs.
Funny for me to see them eating together
I watched two mature bucks sprint away from a feeder when one lone boar walked up near medina.

Where in Medina County are you hunting?

I wouldn't let that axis walk, especially if you've never shot one. With a bow, it's a trophy imo. If you get rid of the hogs, you'll probably get more axis. Is this in Medina county? I've not heard of axis being seen but anything is possible. I hunt in SE Medina county.

Axis is far under 30, 27 at the very most

No. This place is not in medina county. It's in between uvalde and Campwood on the nueces. My whitetail spot is in medina just outside of Devine.

I sure hope so. Had good rains early on, but been dry for a while.
