Dish Network

Any of you guys have Dish ? What do you think of them losing the NFL channel ? I guess I am going to have to switch to Direct TV, we have it at the lake, I like Dish better, probably because I am way more used to it, anybody else give a flip ?

Heck ya, I give a flip. I already called them twice. We have dish too. Like you, we're used to it. They told me "we're trying to make a deal in order to get it for our customers and we're working hard to get it back." Don't know if that's BS or if they'll start charging for it or what. If not, I'm probably sunk cuz wife don't like direct tv.

It will be back by preseason. Too much money for both sides. Not missing anything right now. Dish and direct have gone thru alot of contract negotiations the last 2 years. And the channels have always have been turned back on.

I sure hope so, I am not a big fan of Direct ( probably because I am not used to it and don't know where all the good channels are ) hopefully Dish works something out, I also have two tail haters that are dish, we bring them to the ranch or down to Mexico with us, would stink if i had to give them up too.

I just switched from Directv to Dish. I like Dish much better.


Like others, the NFL deal will get figured out.

Just upgraded to the Hopper and Joeys for all of our Tvs with Dish Network. I hope the NFL network channel is back before football season starts or I may have to look into other options.

I have had both direct and dish. I prefer dish. I assume that they will get the NFL stuff worked out before the season starts.

It's the same thing over and over with Dish. Always the other guy who is unreasonable. Dish always claims to be trying to manage cost but I've not seen any change in my bill when there is a contract dispute. I would rather they leave us out of it and deliver what we contracted for.

It's not just Dish, Directv goes through the same thing. If they didn't play a game of chicken with the networks occasionally the prices we pay would be double. That channel will be back soon.

Direct has no problem airing them in my area!

Dish doesn't offer MavTv at all this year. They gave me the same story, working with MavTV, last year. I've missed a whole season of Motocross. They did upgrade me for free to the Hopper and Joey's, except for the monthly fee. I called back about 6 weeks later and complained about the bill being too high and threaten to cancel service, I'm not under contract with them. They gave me a credit of $40 per month for 10 months. I'll never go back to direct.
