Guadalupe River Cabins

We usually go to south padre around October for a short vacation. This year we cant make that due to wifes school. I am planning a trip up to Kerrville or Fredericksburg and wanted to rent a river front cabin. Something decent that wont break the bank. It would also help if it was pet friendly. Forgot to mention that were planning on going to the river next month. Will the river be cool that time of year?
Im counting on the green screen to come through for me big time.
