How much have cattle prices dropped. Thinking about increasing my herd size

I picked up 2 head yesterday. Saw some nice pairs sell for 1,200 to 1,500 bucks.
Saw some heifer Herefords bred to brangus sell for around a thousand a head and that was folks have choice on them.

Depends on what you are looking for. In Abilene this week they were selling some older cows with calves and bred back for $800. Young cows with calves were bringing $1200 a pair. 500 weight calves were bringing 1.50-1.60 per lb. we sold 500 weight calves about 3 weeks ago and we got 1.80-1.90 per lb so cattle prices are down right now.

I was sure tempted to buy some of those older cows with calves and bred back because you were buying 3 for 1

Who those 3n1s were a steal. I purchased my bred short solids in the 800 dollar range. I couldn't imagine a 3n1 for that. I would of bought a few of those.
