    Figuring mileage on iPhone maps?

Is there any way (aside from the provided scale) to figure distance in a map? What I would really like to do is figure river miles from ramps to fishing spots or boat ramps to fishing spots on lakes/bays.

Do you have the Navionics app? It should do what you're wanting, and probably more.

Not sure about google maps but you can do that on google earth. Would likely have to download it to a laptop or desktop.

I use the ruler a lot for hunting.

I have it but am new to it. I will check it out though. Thanks.

I really need it on my phone, laptops dont do so well in boats.

Press Route on the bottom of the screen. It'll pull up a menu. Press Manual Route. Hold your finger on the screen and it'll leave a point where you trip will start. You can leave as many points as you want and it'll tell you distance. You can also set it up for cruising speed and fuel consumption for your boat and it'll tell you how long to get there and how much gas you'll burn. Pretty cool app.

That's awesome!! This app is amazing. Thanks for showing me that.

I have it sorta figured out but I can't get it to go away now. How do I delete where I'm at then move to another lake?

It's a pretty sweet app. The more I play with it the more I like it. Well worth the $10. I bought a phone holder and have it mounted to my center console. I plug my phone in so it doesn't drain my phone battery. I pretty much know all my home waters so I don't use it much, but anytime I'm in new water I use it.
