Anyone Conceal Carry in your Cowboy Boots

With all the goings on around Dallas the past week, I am thinking of carrying my conceal pistol in my boot. It is not as easily available if needed but it does keep it concealed. My office is in the building that the incident was in front of and everyone here is very "jumpy". As well as, I work at a Law Firm and have to wear business attire daily (not suits but dress shirts and slacks - so my IWB is not that easy to get to as well).

Just wondering if anyone on the GS carried inside the boot daily. I may need to move from my Glock 19 to a smaller pistol - Maybe a J Frame S&W 38 or 357.

Just wanted to put it out there and see what the GS has to say. Thanks everyone... Stay Safe..

Try to go with a smaller sidearm and put in on your belt in the small of your back. That's were I carry my .380 with a Clipdraw. Always very concealable and easy to access. However, sticking one in your boot sounds like a good idea also as a backup.

I did it many years ago, it was ok with the right pistol,, weight is a real consideration as is the bulk of the pistol,,, I will suggest getting a s& w titanium pistol, and keep a speed strip in your pocket,,, I do not know if they even make it but the 327 federal magnum would be a great choice, since you can get an extra round or maybe 2 over the 5 shot 38 sp. get a clip on holster to keep the pistol off your ankle bone,, that is very uncomfortable,,,

I would do a Glock 42, 43, Kahr CM9, or other small, light auto before I did a j frame. You get a couple more rounds and a quicker reload in a lighter package.

Another idea is to carry in a portfolio. Ive started doing this when I cant carry on body easily.

Do you always wear your shirt out? How does one hide a pistol in the small of the back when wearing slacks and a dress shirt without a jacket?

I dress in Business Casual every day...My LCP in an Uncle Mikes pocket holster rides in my strong side front pocket very well...very comfortable and very quick to access.

I have S&W M&P.380 in my front pocket of dress slacks. Works well, not noticeable.

My Glock G26 with extended clips (lmao, yes i am making fun of non educated libtards) wears well inside my boot. Its weird at first but after a while you dont notice it. Unless your running.

I believe too many of us on here have a hard time touching our toes. A pistol in my boot would be useless

Get a quality iwb holster I wear a glock 19 in a crossbreed holster shirt tucked in or out and is very concilable not to mention very comfortable.

                        I can carry a glock 20 10mm full size just as well as I can a 19 or 26.

Burnadell, maybe I misspoke with the term, "small of the back". I've enclosed a photo of my Keltec .380 with the clip that comes with this model. The clip fits over your belt or pants and I carry it in the middle of my back on the belt. I wear my shirt tucked in 90% of the time. The only thing that sticks up is the very top of the back of the slide. I simply blouse my shirt out a little bit and it covers it. The clip itself will almost be concealed by belt loop in the jeans.
