    Protein Powder Supplement Question

I'd appreciate additional knowledge and experience with these products.

What product provides the best usable protein? Regardless of taste because I don't care at all about the taste.

First, I am stating that I understand a great diet provides what most active people require. That's what I've done for over 49 yrs. Other health and medical complications are involved, so alternatives need to be explored to maintain lifestyle and fitness.

My daily diet has almost always been 30-40% protein with consumption of venison, beef, and poultry. That usually includes two eggs per day.

I need to supplement protein needs with alternatives.

Please share what you know to be successful.

    Thanks in advance.

I use bodylogix natural whey. Cold filtered is a must if you want to best quality protein. Heat will denature the protein. Also look at how many grams of protein are actually in the scoop. Ie, this one has 24gr in a 31gr scoop. BL is also sourced from grass feed cows and sweetened with organic stevia. Protein concentrate is also better than hydrolysate or isolate but don't use the concentrate if you are lactose intolerant.

Agree and that's been my history.

As I said, medical and health complications require me to explore protein supplements in order to continue my lifestyle.

I agree! Staying with that mindset, this is the best I have found. I have been using it for the last 4.5 yrs. Good stuff.

              I use Gold Standard Whey.
I get it at HEB. Costs about 55 bucks for 5 lbs.

It's much easier for me to drink a couple of shakes a day versus trying to eat it.

Yes sir, another reason bodylogix gets my vote. As organic a natural protein as I have found.

I know we're all meat eaters but there are a lot of plant based protein sources. I've come to appreciate Lentils, a lot of protein. I still struggle choking down Quinoa but it's good source too.

I'm also also using Muscle Milk Protein (2-scoops) 3-4X/week along with a multivitamin daily.

I like syntha-6 isolate. Absorbed pretty easily, not a lot of protein by volume. LOW carbohydrates, so you won't spike your insulin.
