    Tree ID please?

Can someone please ID this tree? It's in the middle of one of my food plots and I'm pretty certain it's a fruit tree. I just haven't seen any fruit in it yet.

Man I don't know oversized pecan looking leaves, it does look like a fruit tree like a nectarine tree or something, maybe your county extension agent will know.

If it's a persimmon, that's not IN your food plot, that IS your food plot.

Persimmon it should have fruit by now, they usually start bearing fruit after four years.

There's a difference between "persimmon" and "Texas persimmon", I don't know what your tree is but isn't Texas persimmon.

You should plant a few more around it to help with pollination.

It's a persimmon. But there are male and female trees. If it's the only one and hasn't had any fruit ever it could be a male.

If the bark is darker and blocked it is persimmon.

                          Tree ID please?

Thanks guys! I think it is a persimmon. I was really hoping it was going to have fruit this year but it's not showing anything. I'd bet it needs to have another tree near by. Dang it!

                            Eastern persimmon, not texas persimmon.

I think that's right or maybe American persimmon.
